B.B. Hudspeth’s renowned collection of Western television and cinema memorabilia served as a perfect fit for our museum. It is well-curated and documented with narratives that included charming behind-the-scenes stories and interesting information. The variety of art, costumes, and props made for a well-rounded and dynamic exhibition that really resonated with our visitors.

By showcasing content not in our collection, we were able to offer an opportunity for new visitors to explore our museum and an additional way for us to connect with our local audience. The exhibition evoked so many nostalgic memories from our visitors, volunteers, and staff and was truly an engaging experience.

B.B. Hudspeth’s authentic Western collection is such a treasure to view. I was able to view the iconic framed 5 card display on the wall at The LONG BRANCH SALOON in GUNSMOKE and the Beautiful Original painting of The OLD GENTLEMAN at the Desk in the closing credits of BONANZA. B.B.’s collection also includes many other rare one-of-a-kind legendary pieces. These treasures enhance this wonderful exhibit for all to see in one location.

The Western exhibit showcasing B.B. HUDSPETH’S collection was a wonderful blend of entertainment and history. The rare items in this exhibit were something the average person doesn’t get to see every day. I can’t wait to attend another one of these extraordinary exhibits!

A pleasant day awaited my friend and I. We had invitations to attend the grand opening of B.B. Hudspeth’s Western Memorabilia Collection Exhibit. We drove to the Guntersville Museum and Cultural Center and met B.B. there. Our eyes beheld an amazing display of Western artifacts and props, once only seen on movie screens and TV. To actually see the eye patch of John Wayne, the cap and queue of Hop Sing on BONANZA, the boots of singing cowboy Gene Autry and much, much more was fun! His collection was beautifully presented, and he was very knowledgeable about each item. What a monumental experience it was to see his collection in person. B.B. is also a movie producer, entertainer, impressionist, and public speaker as well. It was a treat to have met B.B. and hear his excitement behind the history of each item. I look forward to his next museum exhibition.

A visit to the Guntersville Museum did not disappoint! A friend and I were there to attend the grand opening of B.B. Hudspeth’s Wild Wild West Memorabilia Exhibit. B.B. has dedicated over twenty years acquiring the amazing props, costumes, and artifacts from Western movies and television series I had watched as a child. Watching videos of movie and TV clips and hearing the voices of the actors while seeing the (actual) costumes they wore (and props they used) brought back nostalgic memories from my childhood. Highlights from the display were the tan suede boots worn by Michael Landon (Little Joe) of the BONANZA TV series and the original picture that hung on the wall in Miss Kitty’s Long Branch Saloon on GUNSMOKE, as well as many others. I loved it all! What a great collection!

B.B. is multi-talented and often appears in costume as a character he created “Scrappy Higgins,” an old prospector who imparts both wisdom and humor, as he inspires audiences, schools, and Fortune 500 companies. Wishing you well in all you do, B.B. Hudspeth!
