B.B. Hudspeth

Brien “B.B.” Hudspeth is a nationally recognized collector of Western memorabilia, known for preserving iconic artifacts from both Hollywood’s golden era of Westerns and the enduring legacy of the Real American West. His journey began with a remarkable discovery: Michael Landon’s original tan suede boots worn as “Little Joe Cartwright” on BONANZA, a childhood hero of B.B.’s. That singular acquisition became the foundation of a growing collection and earned him a spot as one of three featured presenters at the official BONANZA 50th Anniversary Friendship Convention, along with BONANZA associate producer, Kent McCray, where the boots were also proudly exhibited. The experience sparked a lifelong passion that has since grown into one of the most significant private collections of authentic Hollywood Western artifacts in the country.

B.B.’s collection has been featured in BONANZA Gold, True West Magazine, Guns Magazine, Guns of the Old West, Cowboys & Indians Magazine, and The Good Life Magazine and includes pieces that have been exhibited at museums, major fan conventions, and public events. Beyond collecting, B.B. shares his love of Western heritage through live performances as “Scrappy Higgins,” a humorous and heartfelt tribute to the American cowboy. He also speaks on the “Art of Collecting,” sharing his experiences to encourage others to discover the joy and value of building their own meaningful collections. A voice impressionist since the age of 13, B.B. enjoys traveling the country to speak at elementary schools with his program “Looney Lessons for Elementary Legends,” where cartoons and life lessons come together to inspire kindness, commitment, and perseverance..
